‘To establish the reign of Jesus Christ in every heart’, to help men and women to make Him known to those around them, ‘to follow Him in all His ways', such was the desire of Nicolas Barré.
For him, the spiritual life and the apostolate were closely linked. There’s no question of waiting to become a saint before working for the salvation of one’s neighbour or for the human and spiritual formation of young people.
May your whole life be a continual act of thanksgiving for the mercy of God, an active search for His will, a total fidelity to his service.
Fr. Barré allowed God to lead him through the events of his life.
