Love is a way of life …

St. Thomas Aquinas defined love as ‘an act of consistently choosing and willing the good for others. If you are fortunate, you have experienced this in your life and in your relationships: kindness, compassion, understanding, forgiveness. All of these emanate from love.

In the words of Nicolas Barré ‘A little love makes everything easy’.

Love is not just a word but a commitment to being a kinder, gentler and more patient person

We are at our best when we are acting out of love. Our life improves when our capacity to love expands and our world becomes a better place.

Reflect today on 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient, love is kind, love is not envious or jealous.
It does not insist on its own way; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices in the  truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
              Love never ends.

The words of Julien of Norwich should give us hope:

‘All shall be well, all shall be well...for there is a force of love moving through the universe that holds us fast and will never let us go’.
