In Cameroon, Youth Day is celebrated every year on 11 February. The aim of this national day is to highlight the importance and rights of young people in the country, so that they can grow and blossom.
In preparation for this event, numerous activities (dances, folklore exhibitions, theatre, competitions, games and other sporting activities, etc.) are organised in secondary schools, university campuses, within associations and in various towns and neighbourhoods across the country. Our sisters - whose work has focused on the health and education of young people since they set up in the country in 1968 - are wholeheartedly involved in all their schools, for example, at the technical school for girls in Somo (north-west of Yaoundé).
