Happy Feast of the Annunciation

Let it be done according to your will...’

In her YES at the Annunciation, Mary gave her entire life so that the mystery of the Incarnation could be accomplished. In accepting that God would make use of her, she has given us an example to follow. Our prayer, like that of Mary, gradually leads us to will what God wills for us.

She never ceased to contemplate the action of God in herself and in her people... (Book of the Institute N° 21) .

‘... He has done great things for me
...He puts down the mighty,
... He raises up the lowly.’ Luke 1: 49-52

Mother of God, you did not know how the birth of your child would affect your life, may I trust in God’s presence to protect and guide me when I face uncertainty.

Mother of God, you cared for and nurtured the divine life within you, may I do the same daily through faithfulness to prayer and good actions.

Think of any experience in your life where Mary was a source of strength and inspiration.

Fr. Barré had these words to say to the Charitable Mistresses: ‘Place yourself  in the hands of God like a brush in the hand of a painter; like a quill in the hand of the writer...’Lord, I want nothing more, I desire nothing more, only to be ready to desire what you desire and as you desire it’.  (Letter 12)
